DA-RFO XI, GovGen local officials validate solar-powered water system project in Brgy. Surop
GOVERNOR GENEROSO, DAVAO ORIENTAL — A multi-sectoral joint validation team evaluated the proposed site for the Solar-Powered Water System project intended for the Grupong Mag-Uuma sa Barangay Surop on September 17, 2026.
The joint validation was led by the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office XI (DA-RFO XI) through its Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division (PMED), Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), Adaptation and Mitigation Initiative in Agriculture (AMIA), and Regional Agricultural Engineering Division (RAED). They collaborated with the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAGRO) and Municipal Engineering Office (MEO) of Governor Generoso.
The activity assessed the technical feasibility and site suitability of the proposed infrastructure to support local agricultural productivity and enhance water access for farming communities in Barangay Surop.
