Davao Oriental presents FY 2028 agri-fisheries priority projects at DA joint planning exercise
DAVAO CITY — Representatives from the Province of Davao Oriental participated in the Joint Planning Exercise (JPE) cum DA–LGU–CSO Consultation for the FY 2028 Plan and Budget Proposal (PBP) for Cluster 2, held at the World Palace Business Center on September 16–18, 2026.
Provincial Agriculturist Enya C. Amahit presented the province’s consolidated priority programs for the crops and fisheries sectors on the second day of the event, detailing the development needs of component local government units (LGUs). The Provincial Veterinary Office subsequently outlined priority projects for the livestock sector.
The three-day consultation concluded with discussions on consolidation, agreements, and strategic next steps toward finalizing the FY 2028 Department of Agriculture Plan and Budget Proposal.
The activity gathered key stakeholders from the DA, LGUs, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), national government agencies, and the Regional Management Committee to align agricultural investments with the needs of local farmers and fisherfolk. Amanah Mei T. Bandigan
