DA-RFO XI, PGS-LOFA conduct peer-review inspection for organic certification in Banaybanay
BANAYBANAY, DAVAO ORIENTAL — The Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office XI (DA-RFO XI) and the Participatory Guarantee System-Local Organic Farmers Association (PGS-LOFA) conducted a Peer-Review Inspection for Organic Certification at the 2.2-hectare farm of Rev. Fr. Perfecto M. Uriboda Jr. in Barangay Causwagan on September 24, 2026.
The inspection verified the farm’s compliance with PGS Group Internal Standards and Department Circular No. 09, Series of 2020, focusing on the National List of Permitted Substances for Organic Agriculture.
Evaluations covered the farm’s animal production, crop production, and cacao processing operations under the Care on Ecological Development Action for Regeneration (CEDAR) initiative, which aims to advance sustainable and ecological agricultural practices across the province. Magil John P. Genayas
